(1)Before you install the driver all you have to do is repeatedly press F8 while booting your computer and it will bring up a boot selection screen in which you can choose to start in safe-mode, and other modes.
(2)Scroll down and select the option that says "Disable driver signature enforcement" The system will boot.

Does the dualshock 3 controller also work with gears of war?
Great work!!
This works flawlessly in Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Followed all the steps and rything is working ok.I hope you find a way to have more than one controller per BT adapter.Great work. Thanks!!

hi there again, thanks for your help, i eventually managed to get the files deleted from driverstore but they were a pain. when i installed the usb driver and checked the controller the right stick worked beatufully, but when i installed bluetooth the right stick was broken, but i went into the game controller settings in device manager and callibrated the controller and it seemed to work after that. so far so good, but the only other prob is the vibration only vibrates at the left side, but thats not to worry about. thanks again

2009-07-07 20:11:50 Proceeded
2009-07-07 20:11:50
Proceeded with some testing on XP 32-bit instead. Got USB working, yay!
But the laptop's built-in bluetooth device seems to just disable
itself and disappear from device manager. It's still gone after a
reboot. The systray bluetooth icon has the red B on it (like not
connected). Pressing the PS button does not connect the controller, it
just flashes for a while. I have the HID device though and it seems to
be OK. If I uninstall that one (and scan for new hardware) it finds the
bluetooth device again.
I have no idea what a "bluetooth stack" is. Does my problem mean
this stuff won't work with this bluetooth device I happen to have and I
need another one instead?
And now I need to pull my hair to get bluetooth working with my
phone again. I genuinely hate bluetooth. And bluetooth hates me back.
I've had nothing but trouble with it. I should have my head examined
for messing with my setup for my phone and sync software. Oh well, live
and learn I guess... or not.

To the misinformed viewing this blog:
These buttons are pressure sensitive: X, O, Triangle, Square, R1,
R2, L1, L2, and the D-pad. (Yes, the D-pad.) Anyone who has played MGS2
and MGS3 can tell you about the pressure sensitivity and its critical
use for these PS2 games. All of the features of the PS2 controller
were inherited by the SIXAXIS.
They can also alternatively be regarded as binary inputs (switch ON,
switch OFF). It just depends on what your driver is paying attention
to, etc etc.
2009-06-21 02:44:27
I have bluetooth on my laptop (built in, not USB). Will this driver work with the built in blu-tooth stack?
2009-06-21 05:41:56
ATTENTION:
For those of you struggling with the "cannot find devnode"
error: GET A NEW BLUETOOTH ADAPTER. That is -the- only way to make it
work. If you are forced into the Windows Bluetooth stack, you are
completely -fucked-, because this does not work with the Windows stack.
At all. There is no way around this. Look into a TrendNET or Kensington
adapter, or any that will work with the BlueSoleil stack. I've tested
this on -4- different types of Bluetooth chipsets. You can get a
TrendNET Bluetooth 2.0+EDR 100m range from Newegg.com for about $20 and
it works great.
2009-06-21 05:47:09
The one above this one is mine, too. Sorry, forgot the author bit =)
Also: You -can- connect 2 PS3 controllers at the same time if you're
willing to go one over Bluetooth and one over USB. Until Motioninjoy
hacks it out so that we can get 2+ controllers on one Bluetooth
adapter, this is a reasonable solution. The USB will always funtion as
JOY1 if the two are plugged-in like that, though, regardless of which
one is plugged-in first. Kind of a bitch, buh eh.. workable.

As
far as I can tell. Driver will not work if you are using Vista 64 Bit
with SP2 installed. Even if you follow all the directions exactly right.
2009-07-01 21:31:39
I
am using Vista x64 with SP2 installed and I must agree with the above
person, I couldn't get the driver to work and I was given a message
from windows saying the driver had files missing or corrupt. For some
reason even after I had used the 'disable driver signiture
reinforcment' feature I was still given and error saying that the
driver hadn't got a signiture. I tried again and rebooted the computer
without getting the signiture error but I still got the driver error
window. I hope you guys can fix it though because this driver is beter
than that other one floating around.
2009-07-02 07:38:33
also the same not working, using vista 64 SP2

yep vista 64 sp2 not working with usb
2009-07-07 18:58:03

here. Tried manually installing the USB driver as well. Cannot load the
driver, may be corrupt blah blah, error code 39. I have disabled driver

I tried
hooking up a second controller. In control panel it detected two
Motion-in Joy devices however niether of them would work on
calibration. The only thing that did work was the start button on the
controller I had originally configured. I unplugged both, then plugged
one in again and it worked great again. It has to be in the USB port I
originally installed it in, though. Again, I would appreciate any help
with people who have configured two controllers. Thanks!

Hello all,
This bluetooth found good http://www.energysistem.com/es-es/web/bluetooth/serie_linnker_1000 the model "Linnker 1290", but the option motion don´t found good
2009-06-08 04:04:12
The 64 bit driver is not working on my 64 bit Windows home premium.
I followed the instructions exactly right after I install the driver
I open the tools and try to enable my controller options and nothing.
Anyone have an idea?
2009-06-08 15:23:36
I'm
having the same problem as many of you. When I try to install the
Bluetooth driver, it says "There aren't any live devnodes with the
DeviceId contained in the INF." Can you assist?
2009-06-09 18:51:08
First,
THANK YOU! Thank you for all your work! I appreciate it!
Next, I can confirm. With DS3Tool, under Options, "Analog Gamepad 2
(POV, Joysticks, Analog Triggers)" breaks the Right Stick. With Analog
Gamepad 1 (POV, Joysticks), Right Stick uses Z-Axis and Z-Rotation in
ControlPanel->Game Controllers. But, in Analog Gamepad 2 (POV,
Josticks, Analog Triggers), Right Stick uses only Z-Axis. Buttons L2
and R2 use Z-Rotation. With Analog Gamepad 3 (POV, Joysticks, Analog
Triggers, Motion Sensing), the L2 and R2 buttons lose Analog Trigger
ability. L2 and R2 become normal buttons, not Analog Buttons. Right
Stick only uses Z-Axis.
Thank you! I think all buttons should use Analog Triggers. In some
games you must press X, O, Triangle, Square very hard or very soft.
2009-06-10 01:23:31
SadPanda:
You can't use a digital button as an analog axis... X, O and the
other buttons (expect L2, R2) are not pressure sensitive on the
controller... You want to do something in a software, that the hardware
can't do...
However i can confirm the other things people said: Analog 2 and 3
is fucked up, and i have the "There aren't any live devnodes with the
DeviceId contained in the INF." problem too.
BUT this is still an awesome work, so thank you for making it! Keep up the good work! :P
I'll use to analog 1 mode until an update comes :)
2009-06-10 15:47:13
Borda:
Thanks! I'm glad someone else was able to replicate the problem!
BUT, I DO think some games use pressure sensitive buttons! Metal
Gear Solid 4, for example, uses it for CQC. And Grand Turismo also uses
it for accelleration. As does Burn Out, I believe.
2009-06-12 09:32:12
I
can't remember if it's X and O or X and [] that are pressure sensitive,
but it's been that way since PS2. The Mayflash PS2 drivers recognize
this. Anyhow, IMO that's not a big deal. Neither is the motion sensing,
as interesting as the idea seems. I would just love to see the triggers
made into analogue without sacrificing the Zr. :P Aside from that,
though, this is a fantastic driver set. Keep up the great work. I look
forward to trying the BT drivers tomorrow.
2009-06-14 07:26:16
I'm
pretty sure all four face buttons on the sixaxis are pressure
sensitive. They were on the DS2. Circle X and triangle definitely are,
I don't see why they'd leave out square.
2009-06-14 18:10:09
Any news on vibration support? No rush of course :)

2009-05-30 22:13:01
im using 7127 windows 7 64
i can use the ps3 joystick with usb connecftion
but my bt adapter cant detect the joystick . why?
The BT adapter already called MotioninJoy BT HID Device
2009-06-01 04:13:11
I'm
having the same exact problem as kit. I'm in Windows 7 x64 7100, and my
BT adaptor doesn't pick up the controller at all. I clicked the pairing
button in the DS3_Tool and everything. Works perfectly over USB, but
doesn't function on Bluetooth at all.
2009-06-01 04:56:17
Everything
runs really smooth but the right joystick isn't able to turn to the
left nor right on analog gamepad 1 and not up and down on analog
gamepad 2. A bit dissapointing as I finally thought that I was going to
be able to play some Marvel VS capcom 2 on my pc :(.
2009-06-01 08:51:07
It seems that one gamepad will occypy "one" BT adapter?
But I have 2 BT devices, mouse and sixaxis, can't it run together?
2009-06-01 12:02:16
^
You will need a second BT Adaptor
2009-06-02 13:12:16
Analog
Gampad 2 right trigger not detecting up/down movement, and to Jav1: The
both triggers are supposed to be mapped to 1 axis, for reference, the
360 controller's triggers are mapped the same way.
2009-06-03 02:13:53
Thanks, both USB and Bluetooth work great for me :)
All we need now is vibration ;)

2009-05-28 20:40:06 Testing
2009-05-28 20:40:06
Testing 64bits drivers.(USB and BT)
My OS: Vista Ultimate x64 SP2
Ok, driver works but it has some bugs:
- 4 kind of mapping does not work correctly. Best choice for now is
Analog Gamepad1 (which is the same mapping that the previous driver
had).
- Analog triggers work now but there is a problem: L2 and R2 are in
1 axis instead of 2. There should be an axis for each analog trigger
(correct me if i'm wrong).
- For some reason i get an error when I exit DS3 Tool. If I click on
error details it says "flash.ocx is missing in this Windows version" or
something like that.
- This is not a bug, just a question. It will be possible to pair 2 Sixaxis / DS3 in the future using 1 BT adapter?
Thank you for your work.
2009-05-28 20:48:24
Now only pair one BT adapter to one gamepad, One BT adapter to two or more will implement it in the future.
2009-05-28 20:50:20
I'll develop vibration function first.
2009-05-28 21:19:15
Thank you so much... waiting vibration function....
2009-05-29 01:14:41
the
throttle is always not to connect to the USB key, and vibration not
otherwise excellent pilot, but a bug on the maping and I still have the
error when I farm flash.ocx missing
2009-05-29 04:32:31
my feedback on win7/x64 (deseo signed drivers in test mode):
when using mode 2 (with analouge triggers) i can not use the y-axis
of my right stick. the z-rotation is occupied by the shared trigger
axis (which i too would rather split into two seperate axis).
when using mode 3 (with motion) i do not get the triggers to work at
all. and the motion sensor just behaves oddly, jumping between values
when normally moving the controller. also it can not be calibrated
correctly as the axis are not shown to be moving on the calibration
screen (you can only see any movement at all when displaying raw data).
all the motion seems a little wierd at the moment.
great project neverless, please keep up the excellent work!
